1 C Elbow macaroni

2 T Flour

1 t Salt

½ lb Velveta or other brand soft cheese (I use a couple ounces of jalapeno pepper cheese)

2 T Butter or margarine

1/8 t Black pepper

½ C Buttered bread crumbs (optional)

2 C Milk


Cook macaroni and place in greased casserole dish.

Melt butter in saucepan, add flour, and milk, stir slowly until it thickens.

Add salt and pepper.

Cut cheese into cubes and scatter over macaroni.

Cover the top with bread crumbs.

Pour sauce over all.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Double the recipe for a 9×13 pan.
